Our Story
Gapstars Finance emerged from a gap we consistently saw in European companies: the growing difficulty of accessing experienced finance talent that could keep pace with scaling businesses.
The challenge was not just hiring, but building teams with continuity, ownership, and the ability to adapt as finance becomes increasingly digital and AI-driven – requiring professionals who are not only technically strong, but also comfortable working with modern tools, data, and automation while continuously evolving with the function.
Our approach was built around solving this. Rather than treating finance as an external service, we focus on building teams that operate as part of the organisation. Our teams work within existing systems, align with internal processes, and grow alongside the businesses they support.
Sri Lanka plays a central role in this model, not as a cost advantage, but as a strategic talent hub. With a strong base of highly qualified finance professionals, with international exposure and Big Four backgrounds, we are able to build teams that combine technical depth with long-term alignment.
Founded in 2010, Gapstars Group partners with over 75 companies today, across the Benelux, UK, and beyond, supported by a global team of 300+ professionals. Within Gapstars Finance, our teams operate from hubs including Amsterdam, Lisbon, Dubai, and Colombo, supporting finance functions end-to-end – from accounting and compliance to financial planning and strategic decision-making.
