A journey beyond business
In February 2025, Gapstars hosted its partnering companies and team members in Sri Lanka for the third consecutive year for a week of cultural immersion, innovation, and impact. Over five days, 15 international partners joined the Gapstars family for a journey that went far beyond typical business meetings.
Each day brought new adventures and insights: authentic Sri Lankan cuisine, racing through Colombo’s streets in tuk-tuks, building agile mindsets with LEGO®, and discovering community impact at GapCon.
Scale Up Week 2025 embodied Gapstars’ core values of growth, impact, and community. This is the story of how one week in Sri Lanka brought together different cultures, perspectives, and talents to shape the future of tech collaboration.

Tuk-tuk tournament
What better way to immerse our friends and partners in the local culture than with a high-energy tuk-tuk race through the vibrant streets of Colombo? Teams navigated the city, completing challenges along the way, making for an unforgettable introduction to Sri Lanka’s spirit of adventure.
Lego® Serious Play
In this hands-on workshop, attendees used Lego® to visualize ideas, solve complex problems, and reinforce the principles of agile development. Guided by our expert facilitators, teams collaborated to prototype solutions in a way that was both engaging and insightful.
Gapcon
Where innovation sparks impact
Championing change, one donation at a time
At the Impact Kiosk, attendees supported the Liv Foundation and Home of Hope. Our partners learned how Gapstars drives impact in communities, aiding education and shelter for underprivileged youth.
Reimagining remote team management
The Growth Kiosk showcased Cosmos, a platform for remote team management. Developed by Gapstars, it enhances collaboration and productivity, providing insights for effective distributed teams.
Escape room - the ultimate test
Gapstars introduced an escape room experience—an interactive way to strengthen team dynamics. Players solved coding challenges, uncovered clues, and broke free before time ran out. A testament to collaboration!
