The Role
At Gapstars, our goal is to fuel growth for highly ambitious tech companies with world-class tech talent. If you are an experienced and ambitious Senior Python Engineer with strong programming fundamentals and the ability to adopt new frameworks as needed we want to hear from you.
As a Senior Python Engineer, you will be expected to architect, develop, and release user-facing features and ensure the quality of our product continues to serve the needs of our tens of millions of users.
Main backend skills
5+ years of experience with Python 3.11+ (or a similar back-end language),
FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and/or Django.
Experienced in general software design and development.
Thorough understanding of the Python ecosystem and available projects/packages.
Excellent understanding of relational databases like PostgreSQL/MySQL/etc
Experienced in Git or other version control systems
General backend skills
Experience with different architectural patterns (DDD, Hexagonal, Clean Architecture, Micro-services, monoliths) and knowing the basic trade-offs.
Experienced with working in an agile product development environment
Experience with cloud-based platforms and architectures.
Basic operational skills, like incident management, RCA analysis, etc.
Able to translate business requirements into well-designed technical solutions
