We are seeking a Midl-Level Software Engineer to support a fast-growing FinTech’s cloud-based data and analytics platform used by leading global market participants. You’ll help build reliable, secure, high-quality systems that power large-scale data distribution, with a strong focus on hands-on engineering, automation, and data visualization.

This is a hybrid role. Based in Lisbon, Portugal.

On a daily basis you will:

• Contribute to a rapidly growing fintech company and help shape its technology solutions.

• Understand Propellant’s business needs and translate high-level objectives into well-architected,

• scalable solutions using the best of GCP.

• Build robust, secure, and reliable systems, ensuring practical workarounds are in place to

• maintain service continuity in case of failures.

• Plan and execute well-structured releases with minimal disruption and clear rollback strategies.

• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

Must Have Skills

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Python and/or Java,

• Proficiency in databases or cloud data warehouses (SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).

• Experience in data visualization toolkits, such as Plotly, Bokeh, and Matplotlib

• You have an ownership mindset and a natural curiosity—you seek to fully understand and take responsibility for both the problem and the solution.

  Nice to Have Skills

• Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., finance, pharmaceuticals).

• Experience with cloud and serverless architectures; familiarity with GCP is a plus.

• Dash exposure - strongly beneficial

• Experience in data engineering, working with large-scale datasets.

• Familiarity with FIX protocol and/or exchange connectivity.

• Experience owning or evolving technology stacks.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders.
