About the Role
The QA Engineer will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of Brompton’s digital products. This role involves designing and executing test plans, identifying bugs, and working with developers to address quality issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement comprehensive test strategies for web and mobile applications
Lead end-to-end testing efforts covering both front-end and back-end components
Develop and maintain automated test suites for React, React Native, iOS (Swift), and Android (Kotlin) applications
Create and execute test plans for RESTful APIs and back-end services (C#, Node.js)
Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous testing pipelines
Collaborate with developers to ensure testability of code and participate in code reviews
Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices in software testing
Perform security and performance testing across the full stack
Analyze and report on test results, providing actionable insights to the development team
7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on web and mobile applications
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices for both front-end and back-end systems
Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Detox, XCTest, Espresso)
Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured)
Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and experience testing React and React Native applications
Familiarity with iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) app testing
Knowledge of database testing and SQL
Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Preferred:
ISTQB certification or equivalent
Experience with cloud-based testing platforms
Knowledge of security testing principles and tools
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for test environments
Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber)
