Description

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a crucial link between the company, clients, and employees, balancing business priorities with people needs.
By collaborating closely with internal teams such as Talent Acquisition, Delivery, Engineering, and Learning & Development, the HRBP ensures that business objectives are aligned with talent strategies.

The goal is to foster a productive, engaging, and compliant work environment that supports both client satisfaction and employee well-being, ultimately driving organizational success.

Primary Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership

  • Serve as the key HR liaison between employees, clients, and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and alignment.

  • Partner with leadership to translate business goals into actionable HR strategies

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, L&D, Compensation & Benefits, Delivery, and Engineering to deliver integrated people solutions.

  • Provide guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and employee engagement.

  • Champion a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion across teams and clients.

Employee Experience & Relations

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle for assigned business units — from onboarding to offboarding.

  • Drive performance evaluations in coordination with clients, Account Managers, and Team Leads.

  • Manage employee relations cases, grievances, and coaching interventions, maintaining confidentiality at all times.

  • Oversee staff wellness, coaching, and mentoring initiatives to promote a healthy work-life balance.

  • Conduct Pulse Check-ins for all allocated employees and ensure accurate documentation.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Manage payroll changes and approvals by liaising with the payroll department.

  • Coordinate salary and expense details with relevant internal teams.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and client-specific HR frameworks.

  • Oversee the timely renewal of employment contracts and documentation for business visits (e.g., Netherlands travel).

  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling employee, client, and organizational information.

  • Ensure HR operational activities are handled efficiently, delegating tasks as needed.

Performance & Development

  • Support performance management, feedback loops, and succession planning.

  • Drive development conversations in partnership with the Gapstars Academy.

  • Structure reward, recognition, compensation, and benefits programs, and educate clients, managers, and employees accordingly.

  • Analyze HR metrics (attrition, engagement, performance) and present insights to management to drive data-driven decisions.

Reporting & Insights

  • Draft, submit, and present regular reports on people metrics, HR initiatives, and performance trends.

  • Provide updates to management on all HR matters related to assigned business units.

Key Job Outcomes

  • Team eNPS (Happiness): Maintained at or above company benchmarks.

  • Retention Rate: Maintained above industry standards.

  • Pulse Check-ins: Conducted within stipulated timelines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to analyze data and present reports, dashboards, and insights effectively.

  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • PQHRM/CQHRM or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.

  • MBA or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.

  • 7+ years of experience in HR, ideally within tech, outsourcing, or client-facing environments.

  • Exposure to European work culture is a strong plus.
