About the Role
As a Creative Content Specialist at Gapstars, you will be at the forefront of bringing our brand to life across digital channels. This role is content-first, focused on writing compelling copy, producing video content, and collaborating with our creative team in Portugal and beyond. You will also manage content operations, from concept to creation to light automation using tools like n8n.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Copywriting
● Write engaging, on-brand content for blogs, newsletters, captions, LinkedIn posts, and campaigns
● Develop scripts and storyboards for video content that reflect the Gapstars culture and client stories
● Take ownership of long-form content projects (articles, case studies) in collaboration with marketing leads
Video Production
● Capture short-form videos using your phone (e.g., event snippets, team features, behind-the-scenes)
● Coordinate shoots with third-party videographers or internal teams (including Portugal team)
● Assist in editing using tools like CapCut, Premiere Pro, or Canva video
Cross-Team Collaboration
● Partner with our teams in Portugal & Netherlands for visual assets, translations, and
region-specific content
● Work closely with the design team for creative alignment and asset briefs
● Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to uncover stories worth sharing
Light Automation & Content Ops
● Use/build automation workflows to schedule posts, pull analytics, and generate reports.
● Maintain a clean content calendar and digital asset bank (Drive organization, naming conventions)
● Monitor and pull social media performance stats for use in newsletters and company updates.
Brand Storytelling & Strategy
● Ensure that all content supports Gapstars' mission, culture, and positioning in tech & talent
● Maintain a strong understanding of our business model to contextualize messaging and tone
● Stay on top of content trends, formats, and audience behaviors, especially on LinkedIn and Instagram
Qualifications
● 2+ years in content marketing, journalism, video production, or similar
● Excellent English writing and storytelling skills with a creative edge
● Comfortable shooting and editing short videos (mobile or basic desktop tools)
● Experience with platforms like Canva, CapCut, Meta Business Suite, or Buffer
● Familiarity with automation tools is a + (or willingness to learn)
● Organized, self-driven, and excited to work in a fast-paced, international team
Nice to Have
● Background in employer branding or B2B marketing
● Understanding of tech recruitment or offshore delivery models
● Light graphic design skills (e.g., social media templates)
