Purpose of the Role

The Lead Creative Specialist will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing a cohesive visual identity for the Gapstars brand across all communication channels. This role requires strong creative leadership, hands-on design expertise, and the ability to deliver international-level creative output that supports marketing and business objectives. The specialist will play a key role in driving brand consistency, leading creative projects, and guiding junior creative team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a cohesive visual identity for the brand, ensuring consistency across all communication channels, including print, digital, and social media.

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining cohesive storylines for the brand, ensuring consistency across all communication platforms.

  • Possess an excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and composition.

  • Ability to cater to visual requirements at an international level, with a strong focus on Europe and APAC markets.

  • Take the lead in web and UI design, working closely with external vendors or development partners to create engaging and user-friendly digital experiences.

  • Provide creative direction for photography and video content to support the company's marketing communications.

  • Responsible for creating and overseeing branding design for events, ensuring that the brand presence is prominent and aligned with the overall aesthetic.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design techniques to continually elevate creative output.

  • Develop and execute video content strategy for social media, including reels, encompassing scripting, ideation, shot planning, and production.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and business development, to align creative strategies with business objectives.

  • Responsible for moderating, mentoring, training, and guiding junior creative resources.

  • Experience as a Senior Graphics/ Brand Designer or in a similar creative leadership role, preferably within a digital or advertising agency.

  • Should possess a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment and provide constructive feedback.

  • Ability to think strategically, communicate ideas effectively, and lead the creative process from concept to execution.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of creative work, including branding, web design, and campaign conceptualization for similar or related organizations.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Effective communication skills in an international, multicultural environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in brand/graphic design, preferably in a digital or advertising agency.

  • Strong creative portfolio showcasing branding, web, and campaign design.

  • Excellent creative thinking and storytelling ability.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to guide and mentor others.
