The Role
As an Engineer, you will take care of the tech side of the product, together with our data scientists and the CTO. You will iteratively build on the app (both webapp and native app), participate in roadmap discussions/sprint planning/retrospectives. You will be a key player in the growth of the company by delivering scalable tech that solves a real problem.
You will build on our Python/Postgres backend, our React frontend, and our react-native mobile app
You will work on our data processing pipelines that ingest open banking data to generate different kinds of business/financial intelligence
You will help with some dev-ops and infrastructure work
You will be responsible for bringing improvements to the codebase, come up with ideas and ways to keep the tech smooth together with the CTO.
Anything else where you can excel at.
You have experience in web development and software engineering:
You understand REST APIs, SQL (PostgreSQL), and DevOps (GCP/AWS/Azure)
You are comfortable with Python and JavaScript (not just frameworks) (Postgres, FastAPI, or Flask exp. is a plus!)
You can do some frontend work in React
You are comfortable with version control systems (git, GitHub, GitLab)
You know your way around the command line and Docker, Docker Compose
You are proactive, you have an entrepreneurial attitude, and seek a highly dynamic, growing international organisation
You appreciate the fact that building up the company means that you need to have your feet on the ground
You are a team player, and you are equipped with excellent communicative skills
It would be a strong plus if you:
You know about software architecture and the different options out there
Have knowledge of React Native and Expo
