About Gapstars

About Gapstars

Gapstars is a Netherlands‑based engineering partner that builds long‑term, high‑performing remote teams in Sri Lanka and Portugal for fast‑growing tech companies. With more than 250 engineers, we focus on creating stable, product‑dedicated teams that work as an extension of our clients’ in‑house engineering culture. You join Gapstars as your employer, but you work in a fully integrated way with one product team, contributing directly to their roadmap and long‑term success.

You will be working with the largest independent equipment financing company in the Netherlands, a fast‑growing fintech that enables small and medium‑sized businesses to access heavy‑equipment financing through an asset‑based model. Their entire platform is developed in‑house, and technology is central to delivering a smooth, efficient and customer‑friendly experience. Your work will directly impact thousands of entrepreneurs who rely on this platform every day.

Why This Role Matters

The client’s ability to release new features quickly and safely depends on strong test automation. By improving the reliability and quality of the platform, you help reduce manual testing effort, increase release confidence and accelerate delivery cycles across the engineering team.

How You Will Contribute

You will lead a greenfield initiative to build automated end‑to‑end testing across multiple systems. Over the next two years, the goal is to automate at least 80% of the supported product flows, while the remaining scenarios continue to be tested manually. This is a key role where you will shape the testing strategy from the ground up and influence the entire development lifecycle.
