About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager - Payroll, whose ambition is to take the next step in their career. They should be driven with determination to achieve the best results when handling these operations. This role takes an independent and self-starting character and a proactive mindset.
Key responsibilities
Prepare employees’ compensation by the end of each month using payroll software
Calculate bonuses and allowances
Arrange all the employee related payments such as Medical, Lunch allowance, TFT bonuses etc.
Schedule bank payments or hand out paychecks directly to employees
Distribute payment statements (payslips) and gather signed receipts (digital or paper)
Report on payroll expenses
Responsible for calculating and executing all statutory payments such as EPF, ETF, Stamp Duty.
Manage the payroll processing of Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Portugal & UAE.
Paye Tax and Paye return filing & Issuing T10 certificates.
Ensure wages and tax withholdings comply with regulations
Update New employees’ data (e.g. bank accounts and TIN numbers) into internal databases
Answer questions about compensation, benefits, taxes and insurance deductions
Responsible to analyze, streamline errors and issues in all statutory submissions and remittances
Ensuring compliance by following policies and procedures
Developing ad hoc payroll and operational reporting as required
Calculation, management and updating of employee cash and non-cash benefits
Analyzing all cash and non-cash benefits of employees in order to arrange reports
6+ years of experience in Payroll processing, Financial reporting.
Bachelor's Degree or Fully/ Partly qualified in relevant Professional Qualification (AAT/ CIMA/CA/ACCA)
Experience in Accounting softwares like Quickbooks, Exact Online or any similar tools.
Excellent communication in English
Confidence and knowledge in Microsoft Office - Excel and Word is essential
Ability to multitask, maintaining strict confidentiality and integrity is essential
Excellent stakeholder management skills with international exposure.
