About the Role
You’re responsible for designing, building, and maintaining product features with a strong focus on quality, ownership, and reliability. This role operates within the product teams, which are evolving towards smaller, cross-functional setups where engineers take end-to-end responsibility for their work. You will combine hands-on development with a proactive mindset towards quality, ensuring that features are not only delivered, but also robust, scalable, and maintainable in production. You work across the stack where needed and contribute to continuous improvement of both the codebase and development practices.
Responsibilities
Feature Ownership & Delivery
● Take end-to-end ownership of features, from design through to production and maintenance
● Translate functional and technical requirements into robust, scalable implementations
● Ensure features are delivered on time and meet quality standards
● Collaborate closely with Product Owners, designers, and other engineers
2. Full-Stack Development
● Contribute across the stack (Laravel backend and Next.js frontend) where needed
● Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code in PHP and TypeScript
● Work within architectural guidelines while contributing to technical improvements
● Support integrations and ensure reliable communication between systems
3. Quality & Reliability
● Design and implement unit and integration tests to prevent regressions
● Think beyond the “happy path” by identifying edge cases, failure scenarios, and risks
● Ensure software is reliable, secure, and performs well in production
● Contribute to improving testing practices and overall code quality
4. Production Ownership
● Monitor application behavior using logs, metrics, and error tracking
● Debug and resolve production issues in a structured and sustainable way
● Take responsibility for the stability of your features after release
● Contribute to improving observability and incident response
5. Development Process & Collaboration
● Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards and best practices
● Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
● Identify and drive improvements in the development workflow
● Work effectively within a cross-functional, product-driven team
Must-Have
● Experience as a Software Engineer in a product-driven environment
● Hands-on experience with PHP (Laravel) and/or TypeScript (React/Next.js)
● Ability and willingness to work across the stack (full-stack mindset)
● Strong sense of ownership and ability to independently drive features
● Solid understanding of software quality (testing, debugging, maintainability)
● Experience with modern development tools and frameworks
● Basic understanding of DevOps practices (CI/CD, deployments, monitoring)
● Awareness of performance, security, and scalability
● Ability to think critically about edge cases and failure scenarios
Nice-to-Have
● Experience working in a full-stack role
● Experience with scalable web architectures
● Familiarity with observability tools (logging, metrics, tracing)
● Experience working with systems that include multiple integrations
● Experience in cross-functional or feature-based teams
