About the Role
Client is looking for a Senior Developer with strong back-end expertise, recent Python experience, and an entrepreneurial mindset. This role is primarily back-end heavy, but the team is also open to creative candidates with strong front-end and design skills, even if they are not the strongest on the back-end side. The ideal candidate should be a fast-paced builder who enjoys creating new products, experimenting with new technologies, and working in an early-stage product environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain scalable back-end systems and product features using Python.
Contribute to architectural and technical discussions to support a robust and scalable product.
Work closely with the product and engineering teams to solve business problems through technology.
Support front-end development when needed, especially around React, UI improvements, and user experience.
Bring an innovative and experimental mindset to the team, including curiosity around AI and emerging technologies.
Apply foundational security practices across development activities.
Work with cloud platforms and Docker as part of the development and deployment process.
Contribute to a fast-moving startup environment with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Minimum 8+ years of experience in software development.
Strong recent experience with Python is mandatory.
Strong back-end development experience is preferred.
Full-stack development experience is highly desirable.
Experience with React is a nice-to-have, especially for candidates with good design sense and product thinking.
Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Experience or a good understanding of Docker.
Foundational knowledge of security best practices.
Understanding of architectural patterns beyond MVC, such as Domain-Driven Design or Clean Architecture, is preferred.
Interest in AI, automation, and emerging technologies would be an added advantage.
