About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll take a key role in developing and improving the software that powers our driving and drone platforms. You’ll work on improving the feature set, stability, robustness, and overall user experience of our software, with a strong focus on C++ and embedded systems.

You’ll take ownership of technical challenges, help improve existing systems, and contribute to engineering decisions that ensure our software is reliable, maintainable, and performant in real-world environments.

Senior Software Engineer - C++

Requirements

Must-Have / Core

Strong C++ knowledge, including modern C++ (C++17+), memory management, pointers, and software design.
Solid experience with Embedded Linux on ARM / NVIDIA Jetson.
Experience with cross-platform development across Embedded Linux, Linux x86, and Windows.
Strong understanding of software testing, including unit and integration testing.
Experience with version control, code reviews, and software engineering best practices.
Experience with Docker for packaging and deployment.
Good knowledge of CMake and experience working with existing C/C++ build systems.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to take ownership of complex technical issues.
Experience designing and implementing robust and maintainable software.
Good understanding of performance optimisation and working with CPU, memory, and power constraints.
Ability to make sound technical decisions and contribute to system-level design.
Comfortable working independently while collaborating with other engineers.

Nice-to-Have

Experience integrating software with backend systems; Python knowledge is a plus.
Experience with ROS2, Gazebo, or robotics software.
Experience with drone software, autonomous systems, or GNSS.
Experience with robotics algorithms.
Experience with video processing pipelines, such as object detection, speed estimation, or localisation.
Experience with security hardening, including disk encryption and secure boot.
Experience optimising software for limited compute, memory, or power.
