About the Role
The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for structurally improving and safeguarding software quality and security across the product team. This role focuses on building a practical and scalable quality foundation, improving release stability, and ensuring that quality and security are embedded early in the development lifecycle. You will combine hands-on execution with strategic direction, working closely with engineering and product teams to reduce production issues, improve testing practices, and increase overall team maturity
Own the QA Process: Define, structure, and evolve the end-to-end QA strategy, processes, and methodologies.
Team Guidance: Manage, mentor, and foster growth within the QA team, ensuring accountability and high performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Managers and engineering teams to align testing strategies with product requirements and release schedules.
Clear Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all things QA, effectively communicating release readiness, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Modern Test Engineering: Drive the adoption of TypeScript and Playwright for robust automation, alongside TestRail for comprehensive test case management.
AI-Driven Testing: Pioneer the use of AI tools to accelerate and optimize the creation of robust test cases, staying ahead of industry trends.
Continuous Integration: Collaborate with DevOps/Engineering to integrate automated Playwright test suites into the CI/CD pipeline (experience here is highly valued!).
Experience: 7+ years of dedicated QA experience, with at least 2 years in a formal Team Management/Leadership role.
Current Role: Currently serving as a QA Team Lead.
Tech Stack: Hands-on automation experience using TypeScript and Playwright, with a strong background in TestRail for test management and execution tracking.
AI Tooling: Proven ability or strong familiarity with using AI utilities to draft, refine, and optimize test cases.
Product Alignment: Strong experience collaborating directly with Product Managers to translate product requirements into technical test plans.
Solid understanding or hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) to support continuous testing and test execution reporting.
