About the Role
Hands-on Finance Professional who can take ownership of operational and executional finance tasks. The ideal candidate should be able to keep the books clean, work independently, and improve accounting processes.
Job Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance Operations
- Manage end-to-end accounting processes, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and month-end close activities.
- Book accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions across multiple entities.
- Reconcile bank transactions, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues such as duplicate payments, incorrect entity invoices, and unmatched transactions.
- Maintain clean and accurate accounting records, ensuring balance sheet and transitional accounts are reconciled and properly supported.
- Request, review, and process supplier invoices while ensuring proper coding and entity allocation.
- Perform regular ledger account reviews and transaction-level analysis to identify and resolve accounting issues.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Analyze financial performance through ledger reviews, month-over-month (MoM) variance analysis, and comparison against forecasts and business expectations.
- Prepare management reports with clear explanations of financial trends and significant variances.
- Support consolidation processes and preparation of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Assist with annual report preparation and statutory financial reporting requirements.
Tax & Compliance
- Prepare and submit VAT, OSS, and ICP filings in the Netherlands.
- Support accounting and compliance reporting requirements for US entities.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and local specialists for tax registrations and compliance in new jurisdictions.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
Process Improvement & Business Support
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting and finance processes.
- Support inventory tracking setup and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain accounting controls and documentation.
- Collaborate directly with the Finance Lead to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of finance operations.
