About the Role
For this role we are explicitly looking for someone with a technical background, as the work is mainly focused on back-end integrations involving various communication protocols (such as SOAP, REST, SFTP, …) and data formats (XML, JSON, YAML, …). There is currently no graphical interface that needs to be tested, the focus is entirely on back-end testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement comprehensive test strategies for web applications
Lead end-to-end testing efforts covering mainly back-end components
Develop and maintain automated test suites for Java/Python applications
Create and execute test plans for SOAP/RESTful APIs and back-end services (Java, Python)
Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous testing pipelines
Collaborate with developers to ensure test-ability of code and participate in code reviews
Perform security and performance testing
Analyse and report on test results, providing actionable insights to the development team
6+ years of industrial experience in Quality Engineering with hands-on experience in back-end software testing connected to integrations/configurations.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of standard quality best-practices, techniques and methodologies to drive continuous quality improvements.
Should have sufficient experience in Robot Framework (Python)
Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks related to Back-end. (Manual Testing experience also needed)
Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Use Bruno, Wire-mock)
Familiarity with setting up with Docker and the necessary integration configurations and relevant datasets
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Preferred:
ISTQB certification or equivalent
Experience with cloud-based testing platforms
Knowledge of security/performance testing principles and tools
Smeone who can work autonomously
