The Role
At Gapstars, our goal is to fuel growth for highly ambitious tech companies with world-class tech talent. If you are an experienced and ambitious Senior Software Engineer with strong programming fundamentals and the ability to adopt new frameworks as needed we want to hear from you. You will be expected to develop and release user-facing features and ensure the quality of our product continues to serve the needs of our tens of millions of users.
Responsibilities
You will work on different topics like expanding our insurance and claims business logic, our claims technology, our invoicing and payment platform, and reporting platform.
You will make sure we can grow our business smoothly by providing a fast responding backend for our high availability sales funnel and Back office.
Manage deployments to our multiple environments and ensure the health of our infrastructure.
You will be part of a broader team, in which you will work closely with the other back end engineers, the product owner, our front-end developers, our automated testing engineers, and CTO.
You will work on improving our platform to make it more reliable, faster and better.
You will constantly find the best fitting solutions that enable a deeper yet manageable data processing layer.
You will advise the CTO on gaps between our existing technologies and those available in the market. Of course you'll advise on how to bridge this gap too.
You have 2-4 years of experience with Python, and preferably Django and PostgreSQL
You need to have a keen interest to how the business and tech play together
You like to go to the office and hangout with the team
You live <6km from the Gapstars office
You need to understand the impact of the technology that you are providing to our business
You let AI assist you on your job
You have experience with DevOps practices
You know your way around the AWS cloud
You are able to clearly communicate, assess the impact is of changes to our tech stack
You are a quick learner
You are fluent in English
