Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer (GCP)

Requirements

Technical Requirements 

We are looking for a Senior GCP Engineer / DevOps (with back-end affinity) with strong expertise in managing cloud infrastructure, optimising system performance, and ensuring scalability. 

Must-Have Skills

  1. Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise – Strong and demonstrate proficiency in Google Cloud Platform.

2. Infrastructure as Code (IC) – Strong proficiency in Terraform and man cloud resources programmatically

3. Event Driven Architecture – Demonstrable understanding of task schedule and event-driven processing

4. CI/CD pipelines & automation – Experience setting up and managing CI pipelines with GitHub Actions

5. Monitoring & observability – Setting up monitoring using Prometheus Grafana, Open Telemetry and Google Cloud Monitoring.

6. Security best practice – Implementing Cloud-flare, security policies, indent management (IAM), and securing AP

7. Logging & alerting – Experience configuring Cloud Logging and centralised log management

8. Networking & traffic management – Understanding VPCs, load balancing firewalls, and DNS management

9. High availability & scalability – Designing redundant, fault-tolerant, auto-scaling infrastructures

10. Experience with auto scaling event-driven architectures – Designing systems to handle large spikes in traffic

11. Cost optimisation & cloud efficiency – Managing cloud resources effectively to control costs

12. Affinity for back-end systems – Ability to understand and optimise back-end systems in Node and Typescript

13. Building self-healing systems – Implementing and monitoring automated disaster recovery systems

14. API Gateway & rate-limiting – Experience configuring API gateways implementing rate-limiting principles

Additional Skills(Nice to Have)

Blockchain/Web3 integration - Familiarity with Web3 APIs and smart contract interactions

SRE Site Reliability Engineering) practices - Implementing error budgets, SLIs, SLOs, and incident response workflows

Performance profiling & optimisation - Ability to debug CPU/memory usage and optimise workloads

Added Value (Nice to Have)

Experience with DeFi & crypto protocols - Understanding staking, liquidity pools, and tokenomics

Experience with distributed databases - Knowledge of Firestore, BigQuery, and time-series databases

Mini App experience - Managing backends that integrate with Telegram Mini Apps
