As we come to the close of 2020, we got together to review the progress we’ve made over the last 12 months and talk about our plans for 2021.
Among the many topics discussed were partner success, the quality of service delivered, the shift to being fully remote by not being able to travel between The Netherlands and Sri Lanka and the importance of employee care.
During the last 12 months like every business, in every sector and every geography, our partners faced immense new challenges, having to transform their businesses and adapt to the new normal.
What this means is that Gapstars role as a trusted partner for remote software development has never been more critical. We worked shoulder-to-shoulder with our partners to help them respond to a period of unprecedented change.

Intelligent instant photo books platform, PastBook is gearing for growth despite downtime. After 8 months since setting up its remote team, the company is extending its remote corporation with new senior engineers and looking to bolster its development capabilities.
We continued to invest and build our capabilities, including attracting and developing our talent community with real expertise to meet our partner needs in this digital age.
In recognition of its partner success, innovative work and tech talent growth Gapstars hosted it’s scaleup awards earlier this year. Read more
Amidst the gloom, we continued to be an “employer of choice” and recognized as a “Great Place to Work” for the third consecutive year. Read more
We were super excited to have launched the Gapstars agile development tech centre earlier this year. This new 12,455 sq. ft spaced centre is home to 100+ tech stars with state-of-the-art facilities equipped to facilitate remote teams.
Following health guidelines and with maximum precautions we opened our office and welcomed new stars to the teams. We also added new expertise in partner delivery and talent recruitment.
Despite upheavals and challenges, 2020 has been an extremely eventful year at Gapstars – highlighted by partner success and talent growth.
We wouldn’t have achieved this without our partners and community believing, supporting and amplifying our mission, specially during these challenging times. So we say thank you!
We also look forward to 2021 with some exciting news! as we announce our new partnership with Rentman which specializes in cloud rental software for AV & Event companies. We’ll continue to develop our service delivery, add new expertise, grow our community and be an employer of choice. We are already completing our next phase of construction and will soon launch our fully-fledged remote centre in Sri Lanka.
