The Role
We are looking for a technically skilled and proactive System Engineer to join our team and serve as a vital link between our Junior Customer Support Team and Senior System Engineers. The ideal candidate will manage escalated technical issues, contribute to a secure and efficient IT environment, and help reduce the workload on senior staff by resolving intermediate to complex support cases.
Responsbilites
We are looking for a technically skilled and proactive System Engineer to join our team and serve as a vital link between our Junior Customer Support Team and Senior System Engineers. The ideal candidate will manage escalated technical issues, contribute to a secure and efficient IT environment, and help reduce the workload on senior staff by resolving intermediate to complex support cases.
Act as the second line of technical support, handling escalated issues from the Customer Support Team.
Manage and troubleshoot issues related to Microsoft Azure, Intune, Exchange, and Microsoft 365 (Business Premium & P2 plans).
Assist with endpoint management, device compliance, and policy configuration via Intune.
Perform basic PowerShell scripting to automate routine tasks and support troubleshooting.
Ensure IT security principles are upheld in every support case, especially with clients in the finance sector.
Collaborate with Senior System Engineers to identify recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
Document solutions and contribute to the knowledge base for future use.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in IT infrastructure and security.
Work autonomously and proactively in a remote-first environment, considering the 3.5-hour time difference.
3+ years of experience with the relevant field.
Hands-on experience with:
○ Microsoft Azure, Intune, Exchange, Microsoft 365 (Business Premium & P2)
Basic PowerShell scripting capabilities
Strong understanding of IT security principles
Experience with tools (preferred but not required):
○ Datto RMM, Autotask, Keeper, Printix, Catman, Witchcure, Cscaler
Affinity with tech monitoring tools and scripting/automation
Knowledge of DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) is a plus
Preferred Certifications: MS900, SC900, MD102, MS100, SC300 (or equivalent Microsoft certifications)
