About the Client
Are you an experienced .NET developer who enjoys working on complex systems that matter? At iprox, you’ll help build and evolve a powerful CMS platform used by large dutch public organizations.
About the Role
As a Senior Backend Developer, you’ll work on the core of iprox.cms, the proprietary content management system. Together with a multidisciplinary team, you’ll implement new features, build integrations with external systems, and contribute to the performance and scalability of the platform.
You’ll be deeply involved in the product development lifecycle – from concept to release – and help shape solutions that impact millions of users across government and education websites.
Responsibilities
Your first major challenge will be working with the team to implement iprox.headless, a new API layer that decouples the CMS backend from the frontend. This includes:
Developing secure read and write APIs
Ensuring proper authorization mechanisms
Laying the groundwork for a headless architecture
This is a key step in modernizing our platform and delivering more flexibility for our clients.
What You'll Do :
Develop and maintain backend functionality in C# / .NET (Framework & .NET 6+)
Build and optimize APIs and data connections to third-party systems
Implement and document secure data access (read/write) with proper authorization
Contribute to CI/CD processes and technical improvements
Collaborate with colleagues across development, product, and operations
Stay up to date with .NET and backend trends and bring in fresh ideas

Hard Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with .NET
Strong hands-on experience with Entity Framework
Proficient in SQL Server
Solid understanding and experience with REST APIs and API security
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, specifically using GitLab (to manage existing pipelines)
Exposure to Docker is a strong plus
Working knowledge of XSLT
Experience with legacy ASP.NET applications is beneficial
Soft Skills:
Strong communication skills
Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
