About the Role
As a Business Analyst, you will serve as the critical bridge between the Product Owner in the Netherlands and the technical team in Sri Lanka. In close collaboration with the Product Owner and UX Designer, you will define and shape the requirements for selected modules and features
within the application.
You will take full ownership of the user stories your team works on, ensuring they are comprehensive, actionable, and aligned with overall business priorities. By guiding the team in refining these user stories, you will ensure they are development-ready and meet the necessary
quality standards.
Throughout the development process, you will act as the team’s primary point of contact for functional queries, providing clarity, resolving issues, and maintaining alignment with the project’s goals. Additionally, you will work closely with the Product Owner to track development
progress, verify priorities, and ensure that all deliverables meet expectations and timelines.
Key responsibilities for all companies
● Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Gather, analyze, and document complex requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
● User Story Management: Translate requirements into detailed, clear user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
● Collaboration: Support the development team by refining user stories and ensuring alignment with product goals.
● Quality Assurance: Conduct functional checks to ensure solutions meet requirements and are built as designed.
● Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between the Product Owner and the technical team to ensure smooth delivery.
● Documentation: Create and maintain User Manuals and Configuration Manuals, ensuring that users and administrators can effectively operate and configure the system. Regularly update documentation to reflect changes in the product.
● Sprint Reviews & Demos: Support the Product Owner in preparing and conducting sprint reviews and product demos, ensuring stakeholders understand the progress and value of the delivered features.
Required Skills
● 5+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in designing and delivering complex, corporate, business-oriented software solutions, preferably in HR systems or related domains.
● Strong knowledge of Requirements Engineering and managing User stories.
● Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence and Figma
● Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team, including participating in sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives
● Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and proactively collaborate when necessary
● Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Language proficiency will be tested during the recruitment process.
● Get the job done properly and in a timely manner.
